General notice about the DMMd Patch Download
Patch definition as per Wiktionary.org:
Verb (computing) To make the changes a patch describes; to apply a patch to the files in question. Hence:
- To fix or improve a computer program without a complete upgrade.
- To make a quick and possibly temporary change to a program.
The DMMd Patch assumes that the user already has the game DRAMAtical Murder installed and working on their computer. This is NOT a download to the pirated copy of the game with the English patch already applied. This is – as the definition explains – just the PATCH.
How do I change my computer to Japanese Encoding?
If you use Windows 8:

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Click on Clock, Language and Region then Region
3. Click on the Administrative tab
4. Click on Change System Locale
5. Select Japan (Japanese) from the drop-down
If you use Windows 7:
1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Click on Clock, Language and Regions
3. Click the Administrative tab and under “Language for Non-Unicode Programs”, hit the Change System Locale button then select Japanese from the drop-down menu.
4. Click OK. You should be prompted to Restart your computer once done.
If you use Windows XP, you’ll need the operating system CD:
1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Click on Regional and Language Options
3. Click the Advanced tab and under the “Language for non-Unicode Programs”, select Japanese from the drop-down menu.
5. Click OK. You’ll get a prompt asking whether to use existing files or to install from your OS CD. If this is your first time doing this you probably don’t already have the files so you’ll need to install them. From there just follow the instructions on the screen.
What is the root DMMd folder and how can I access it?
As per About.com,
The root folder of any partition is the “highest” folder in the hierarchy. The root folder contains all other folders and can also contain files. For example, the root folder of the main partition on your computer is probably C:. The root folder of your DVD or CD drive might be D:.
So for this case, when we say “root DMMd folder”, we’re referring to the main folder where the game was installed. Below is a picture of the root folder so you know what it looks like, along with the highlighted path in order for you to find it (note that I’m using Windows 7 in the example below, but the logic is exactly the same regardless of one’s OS):

Does this game work on a Mac?
Technically no, the game only works on Windows so it won’t run on a Mac OS unfortunately. There are however ways to run a Windows OS on your Mac, and only then will you able to play DMMd.
Notice about running the game using Wine (Mac/Linux)
A bunch of amazing folk, but more notably the user iambatman on Aarinfantasy, have gone through the effort to find a way to play the game using Wine. Please see here for instructions and details.
Like promised, I have uploaded the original DRAMAtical Murder game and DRAMAtical Murder: Reconnect. Both contain the English Patch.
Dramatical Murder Free Download English
Here is the link for the original DRAMAtical Murder visual novel. This is the windows version only, if you want the mac version click here. The files that I uploaded are my own personal copies. I copied and saved the file for the games once I completed them, and because of that, I am not sure if the version you will download will be completed or start fresh from the beginning. Can someone please tell me once they do download it so I can update this information? Both are 18 plus games.Click here for Reconnect.
Under the cut is a simple guide for installing the game. Please set your computer to Japanese (look up online how to do this.)
Both the original game and reconnect are zip files. The following guide is for the windows version only.
First, unzip the file. The original game is named under “Fuwanovel” and reconnect is named under “DMMR-2″. My copy of the original game was not a zip file, so I am using reconnect to show how to unzip the file. Unzip both files this way.
Use a unzipping file program, like WinRAR or 7zip, to extract the files. I have WinRAR on my old windows computer. You can download both programs online.
On WinRAR, I clicked on “Extract Files”. It is the yellow folder next to the “Add” button the on the top. My version of WInRAR extracts to ‘my documents’, but you can set it up to extract it to whatever location you wish.
Go to where your unzipping program extracted the files to and click on the folder. Remember that the original game is labeled under “Fuwanovel.”
In that folder, click on “DMMd_crack_for_version1.10” to run the game!
A window will pop out asking if you want to run this “unknown” program from the internet. Click on the run button.
The program will be black for a bit, please be patient. If you have a torrent program running, in my experience, it tends to interfere with the game, so I advise you to close it. Just in case, close any background programs.
After a minute or so of waiting, the english patch version of the game should start! This is how it should look once you completed the game. A new game should only have Aoba and Ren sprite walk across the screen. Like stated before, I am not sure if your version will start off fresh or be my version of the completed game.
If you have any questions, please ask. Just note that I am not a computer expert, but I will try my best.
